My views on public education, union jobs, and racial and social equity match up with his. I have seen the gentrification of East Liberty with my own eyes, and I know Ed is the only one on the ballot who cares about this neighborhood, and helping Pittsburgh in general.

    I’m happy to endorse Ed Gainey for Mayor. I was ok with Mayor Peduto up until his response to BLM protesting. That was one of the worst responses imaginable. From his Point Breeze house (my parents live in Pt. Breeze) mocking protesters, he let me down in a big way. It was Trump-like. As insensitive as a person could be. We ALL should be standing with Black Lives Matter, because they do.

Mayor Peduto claims that he is, but is more of the same problem that has been plaguing our government for years. Politicians installed by corporate heads to do their bidding. Mr. Peduto has been taking money from UPMC executives in every election cycle, and sides with them over the workers as a result.
